Attention Tahoe Pine Works Customers That Own Pets

Greetings All;

As this Tahoe Pine Works news section kicks off in our product blog! We thought we would reach out to all our customers whom are pet owners (we know we have a lot of them) so just in case you have not seen or heard about this pet food recall! We thought we would place it in our blog so your pets remain safe from tainted food.

Our dogs at Tahoe Pine Works Kodiak (the new member) and Sierra resident sales rep. Are all safe from this! However we did have a bit of a scare as our puppy Kodiak (pictured below) was eating (notice the was) some of this recalled food. Turns out the recall is for only the wet food and not the dry of Menu Foods whom do dog and cat foods for such brands like Iams, Nutro and Eukanuba and many others (according to the 800 number listed) It did take us hours upon hours to try to reach people at this number! as well  the 800 number on the dog food bag that we feed our pets (Nutro Natural Choice).

Please visit the recalled website to make sure that your dog or cat is not eating any of this tainted food. You can visit the link at http://www.menufoods.com/recall/ or you can visit the following for Dog food recall or for Cat Food Recall. The number they have listed on this site is 1-866-895-2708 be warned that this number is busy all the time. The number on the back of our dog food (Nutro Natural Choice) is 1-800-833-5330 and that website is www.nutroproducts.com However we are not able to log into that website.

Our Resident Dogs

Captured_20061114_00001_2 This is Kodiak (whom is now at the ripe age of 5.5 months and much bigger) He is our black lab who likes to crab all our tools, invoices and anything else he can find and place them in locations that we can not find them! He spends most of the day making us laugh and waiting for the FedEx driver. Of course Kodiak is still not sure what to do when he sees a bear out in the woods.

Cc This happens to be Sierra. She is the queen of Tahoe Pine Works whom is half border collie. She spends her time rounding up Kodiak and trying to help keep him out of things. She is also trying to teach him what to do in the snow and what not to do in the snow. Of course Sierra always lets us know when our bear is around.

We hope that none of your cats or dogs are effected by this recall.

Have a great Tahoe Afternoon and check back for more Tahoe Pine Works News soon.

**Update To This Story**

Tahoe Pine Works Would Like To Thank All The People Working The Angora Fire

Hello and Welcome.

   At this time we would like to thank everyone for sending us notes, emails, phone calls, etc. during the Angora fire that was burning in South Lake Tahoe. We are happy to say that all Tahoe Pine Works people made it out of this fire safe and lost nothing. We spent many days protecting homes and the areas around us to prevent fire in our area. We would also like to thank the customers who at the time placed orders with us and were understanding when the orders were a day or two late due to the fire.

   A very large THANK YOU goes out to the many firefighters, CDF, US Forest Service, Flight Crews and the fire departments that traveled several hours to help fight this fire. With out all of you we are sure Lake Tahoe would have been gone. THANK YOU

   On June 23rd our fire started out in the Angora Lake area. By June 28th the Angora fire had burned more then  200 homes and forced some 2,000 residents to evacuate. Fire crews had hopes of containment by July 3rd. On July 2nd these same fire crews had this fire under containment. All in all the Angora fire burned more then 3,100 acres and had destroyed 254 homes 75 businesses and damaged 14 other homes. The fire reached a cost of $12.5 million to fight with more funding needed to continue on the restoration of the area. Cal fire officials believe the fire started due to an illegal camp fire!

    Again we would like to thank you our customers for checking in on us and we would like to again thank the fire crews for putting this fire out.

    A note to  our customers whom own second homes in this area. Please be advised that the local sheriffs has been working on the prevention of non licensed contractors trying to get work in the burned areas (they have already arrested 5 of these people) Please be sure to check licenses if one of these people contact you about work. We will be more then happy to help you out in doing this. If you need any photos and can not make it up to Lake Tahoe please feel free to contact us as we will take photos for you and help you out any way that we can.
